Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in incredible state of conservation, which features the signature of former Sultan of Oman “Qaboos bin Said Al Said” at 12:00 hours.
These extraordinary watches featuring were made from Asprey of London at the special request of His Majesty Qaboos bin Said Al Said to the epoch, for donated to eleven members of Britain’s SAS as a token of gratitude for services rendered to the then-nascent new Sultanate (the members of Britain’s SAS were involved from former Sultan in the 1970 coup in Oman, where British forces arranged with him to depose the father, the ex-Sultan Said bin Taimur).
Only one or two examples have appeared on the world market to date, highlighting the absolute rarity of this model, and the superb conditions and rare configuration of this our watch - complete with all its original documents and accessories of the epoch - make it one of the most sought-after watches by collectors from all over the world.
